Read - Write (20 min)

Print a copy double sided for each student to journal in. Read to them and allow them time to write. Collect their work at the end.

Watch - Practice (40 min)

Stretch with Ruthie

Have students do some stretches as they watch this movie. Hold each stretch for at least 10 seconds

Look Forward

Have students watch and then try this drill. They will get better and better the more they do this.

Switch your Guard Hand

The coach needs to go around and push on the players guard arm to see if it is strong just like Ruthie does.

Quick Feet

Have all the students warm up with 10 push ups before trying this. Most will not be able to but it is a sill to work for.

Play (Remaining time)

Now it is time to go and use what you learned on the court with the remaining time. Have students play a game and focus on not looking at the ball as they dribble.
