In Grade 4, students become scientists, engineers, and designers as they investigate how the world works through hands-on challenges and experiments. They will:

🔐 Design a way to send a secret message while investigating ways information can be encoded and communicated.
☀️ Build a better solar skylight and explore how sunlight can be used to illuminate a space.
🦐 Hatch and grow brine shrimp while observing the needs and characteristics of living organisms.
🖐️ Read Braille with their fingertips and explore how people can use touch to gather information from their environment.
🪨 Describe sedimentary rocks and investigate the characteristics that help scientists identify and classify them.
🔬 Discover microfossils and explore evidence of life preserved in rocks.
